DAB2 is the deluxe edition of DAB1, our first DAB radio that have already been a huge success among consumers as well as critics. Compared to the standard edition you get the possibility of receiving L-band broadcasts, when this someday may come. Furthermore using the build-in FM tuner has become much more convenient. The DAB2 features RDS/Radio Text, which allows you to view the name of the radio station in the display, almost like DAB. The sound has been improved even further, and the display now also has a dimmer function. This is especially useful when using the radio in a bedroom.
DAB2 is ready to supply you with music, sports news and culture broadcasts 24 hours a day. You get crystal clear radio, FM for local radio and alarm/timer for use in the bedroom or kitchen. The cabinet is made from real wood veneer, and with the choice of cherry wood, black or white you can easily find one that will blend perfectly in. The build-in telescopic antenna is more than enough in most cases for excellent reception. But if the need arises you can replace it with a larger more powerful antenna.
On the front of the radio, you find the clear blue display, the controls necessary and a full range speaker which gives you a full and rich sound for a radio of this modest size. As something quite unique for a DAB radio in this price range the DAB2 is also equipped with a line-input, enabling you to quickly connecting your portable music player to the radio. You only need a minijack cable in order to enjoy all your music on the DAB2. Also you can connect the DAB2 to your regular stereo and enjoy DAB-radio on a larger scale in a sound quality similar to cd.
On the DAB2 you only find the buttons you need on a daily basis. As a consequence the radio is extremely easy to work with. Simply press auto-tune and all available DAB station is quickly located. Just like on you old radio you can both on DAB and FM assign a preset to your favorite station for easy access. On DAB you identify the stations simply by reading the station name in the display instead of a frequency, how much easier can it get?
