There is a new software release available for your Argon iNet1
The upgrade includes the following:
- Fixed an issue that could cause the radio to fail to connect a UPnP server while using an Ethernet connection. - Improvement of the UPnP functionality. - Fixed an issue that could have caused the radio to fail to connect to a wireless network whose ESSID contains 32 characters. - Added support for certain AAC, WAV and OGG file formats. - Added various improvements for alarm behaviour. - Added support for MP3 files that contain more than 0x1000 bytes of metadata at start of stream. - Removed "Real Enabled" from the display (needs reset of the radio after SW upgrade). - Improved the Wi-Fi range. - Significantly improved the load speed of stations. - Improved on several networking functionalities
How to do the upgrade?
Go into the MENU of iNet1 press CONFIGURE > UPGRADE FIRMWARE > YES
Then leave the radio alone and certainly do not unplug it! The whole process will take between 3-10 minutes depending on the speed of the broadband connection. The vital thing is that you do not lose power to the radio during the ‘writing’ process (as described on the display at the time).
