Argon Inet1 Software Update

Dear Argon iNet1 customer.

There is a new software release available for your Argon iNet1

The upgrade includes the following:

a UPnP server while using an Ethernet connection.
- Improvement of the UPnP functionality.
- Fixed an issue that could have caused the radio to fail to
connect to a wireless network whose ESSID contains 32
  characters.
- Added support for certain AAC, WAV and OGG file formats.
- Added various improvements for alarm behaviour.
- Added support for MP3 files that contain more than
0x1000 bytes of metadata at start of stream.
- Removed "Real Enabled" from the display (needs reset of
  the radio after SW upgrade).
- Improved the Wi-Fi range.
- Significantly improved the load speed of stations.
- Improved on several networking functionalities

How to do the upgrade?

Go into the MENU of iNet1 press CONFIGURE > UPGRADE FIRMWARE > YES

Then leave the radio alone and certainly do not unplug it! The whole process will take between 3-10 minutes depending on the speed of the broadband connection. The vital thing is that you do not lose power to the radio during the ‘writing’ process (as described on the display at the time).
